Just give her a speech about how she won't be happy if she's held back a grade and if she doesn't do well in school and finish she won't get into college and she won't get a good job where she can do something that's more meaningful and pays better etc.. I wouldn't be harsh with her, demonstrate conditional love, ground her, or whatever. School isn't really a natural thing to make children go through; it's a lot like slavery and it's unfortunate that they have to endure it, even if it is more or less necessary (it's worlds apart from what would be ideal and not mostly a waste of time, even if the supposed need for mandatory schoolong is conceded).. and I don't believe in grounding/punishment by not allowing social intrraction.. at least not if it's not totally necessary.. it's cruel and tragic. If you loved them and understood the importance of social interaction you wouldn't do that to them. It's the stuff of life, and depriving them of that is actually depriving them of the ability to live and grow.
